Handwritten Embroidered Veils
One of my brides sent me a scan of a post-it note left for her by her now-husband when they were in a student house share together and I embroidered the words onto her veil, as if he had written it, as a surprise for him on their wedding day.
Another bride’s mother passed away many years ago and left her a letter before she died – I felt truly privileged to have been asked to recreate words from this letter in thread embroidered onto the veil, which will now hopefully become an heirloom to be worn again and again.
I use the traditional art of hand-embroidery to produce handwritten veils – I have found that embroidering by hand allows the control needed to capture the nuance and flow of the original script.
How it works
Drop me and email with an image of the wording you would like me to embroider. I will then produce a sketch version for you to approve before I begin.
Cost
The cost will depend on the size and length of the wording (or symbols) and how many hoopings will be needed to create the embroidery. Once I see a scanned image of the wording, I can pop you over a quotation.
